What Causes Severe Chills, High Fever, Numbness In Veins After Injecting Ice?
I injected ice last night I have thyroid disease. I had something horrible happen, my hands and feet turned to ice cold chills and Goosebumps my fever spiked to 103 couldn t get warm. Hands n feet went numb the veins in my hands and arms felt like they were crawling, the veins became swollen and you cud see them moving and I got very pale???
You probably missed your shot and injected it in a nearby nerve. Thats why you had these symptoms.
Ice injection can cause vein blockage, swelling of the limb due to abscess formation or due to local reaction.
Other side effects include high fever, euphoria as well. However, I can not rule out the possibility of infection at injection site. I suggest you to visit a local doctor for detailed checkup and antibiotic therapy if needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
