What Causes Severe Backache And Vaginal Bleeding?

I am a 60 year old woman and haven t had a period in 8 years. Well this afternoon I started to have a back ache that stayed with me and now tonight I went in to go to the bathroom and I am bleeding just like I have my period. Please tell me whats going on.

Hi I think you should consult a gynecologist for complete examination. Get a pelvic examination done by a gynecologist to rule any cervical pathology. Get a ultrasound done to see endometrial thickness. If endometrial thickness is more than 4 mm, you may need an endometrial biopsy to rule out any endometrial pathology. You can take some medicines like tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding. Hope it helps.
