What Causes Severe Anxiety Attacks After Taking Lamotrigine?

I have been on lamotrigine for about 3 months (200mg as of right now) and I ve also have had severe anxiety attacks, (shaking, lose vision and hearing and most of the time pass out completely) and in prescribed xanax. I just found out I m pregnant and I m not sure if I should continue to take my lamotrigine until I get into my OBGYN.. and I m not taking the xanax but I ve had 2 anxiety attacks today alone and I m afraid that will be more harmful than the xanax alone. (I would only be 4 weeks pregnant at this time.) any advice before I can talk to my doctor? please and thank you!!

Hello,

Consult a psychiatrist and get evaluated.

Avoid unwanted stress and anxiety. Relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation can help a bit.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
