What Causes Scalp Sensitiveness?

Over the past few weeks, I ve experienced pain when I start brushing my hair out after a shower. It used to feel like zit pain, so I figured I just had a few head zits, but just today it s started to feel more wide-spread, like the pain you would get after pulling your hair really hard. It goes away eventually, but why is my scalp so sensitive (if sensitivity is even the issue)? I should also point out that I only wash my hair every other day and have been using the same kind of shampoo for a few years now. I don t use conditioner anymore and haven t for a few months. I don t brush it in between showers unless I wake up one morning with awful bedhead. I do straighten my hair but have done so for years, and only today I started feeling the stinging pain of my hair roots or scalp while straightening it.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear;
Symptoms mentioned by you are suggesting about possible folliculitis or possible dandruff development.
I advice to have a course of antibiotics like azithromycin 500 mg 1 od for 3 days and use of ketoconazole shampoo once in a week.
If symptoms doesn't resolve than visit a dermatlogist
Thanks.
