What Causes Scalp Numbness When Suffering From Panic Attack?
I have been in and out of hospital doors for the past one year. I am 18 year old male, weight 75 KG. My problem started about a year ago with a panic attack while sleeping, next 3 days after that I ve had a tingling sensation behind my head and a very tight neck before happening of which I was sitting on my laptop with a slouched back. My symptoms have become better and I ve figured out the reason for my panic attacks. My scalp becomes numb and neck spasm occurs which induced the panic attack. The occipital region of my head hurts and my scalp becomes numb or tingles. The shoulder joint also hurts at times and also my back, when I tilt my neck behind the right side of the neck hurts and pain mostly radiates on the right side is mainly felt in the ride side itself. I also get shooting pain to the top of my right side of head. Blood Test for Arthritis : Normal EEG : Normal CT Scan : Sinusitis Xray : Muscle Spasm of neck My pain usually does not exist when I wake up during the morning and is mainly felt after sitting for long or movement of shoulders.
I went through your details. You had a nocturnal panic attack. Fine. But all other symptoms you are mentioning are simply your obsessions. That is the way it is. You have anxiety disorder and that is the basic reason for your panic attack. You need to identify your anxiety so as to manage it. You could consult a psychologist who professionally identify and assess your anxiety. Then psychotherapy treatment should cure you.
