Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had pain on the right side if my face below my ear when I drank something cold and now it appears that I have a swollen gland. No problems with my teeth or gums but I have a cancer. It is tender to touch but brushing my teeth was ok. What should I do?
Pain on right side of face just below the earlobe seems to be a swollen lymph node that can be secondary to infection..
Consult a Physician and get it evaluated and in case if swollen lymph node is ruled out you will be given a course of antibiotics and anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen or Naprofen along with alternate warm and cool compresses over the swelling..
In case if there are no signs of improvement in a week then FNAC/Biopsy can be advised..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
