What Causes Redness Around A Vitamin B12 Shot?

I took a vitamin b-12 shot and had a red blotchy reaction at injection site. Since then the same thing is happening with my estriol patches. What should I do? I tried a different patch and also got a reaction from it. Thanks for any advice you can give me. Cheri

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your skin reaction.

It seems to me that you have got allergic reaction to the vitamin B 12 and same is the case with other drug used. As your history stresses that you have sensitivity towards certain medicines, you must not try any other with out the consent of a doctor.

You can use betamethazone cream for the allergic rash or red area.
You can also use the FUCIDERM cream, which is an local antibiotic to prevent the spread of infection of any.

Hope my answer will help you and you can write to us further if you feel any need.

Regards
Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
