What Causes Redness And Burning Sensation On The Face?
I have a red burning face that has began to swell. It is hot to the touch and seems to be spreading onto my neck. I saw the doctor on Friday and the swelling and redness has gotten worse. I am going on vacation in the morning out of the country and would like some advice
The symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition like allergic reaction . This allergy can occur due to various factors like over exposure to sun , some new cosmetic product or some plants . I would suggest you to apply cold compresses or ice pack to the affected area , stop using any cosmetic product that you started in recent past , protect your skin from UV radiations of sun and take antihistamine like benadryl twice a days . If condition doesn't get better in 24 hours then consult dermatologist again for proper examination . Doctor may order allergy test , skin patch test or blood test to confirm the diagnosis and may prescribe steroid medicine or antibiotics .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
