What Causes Redness And Bump Near Urethral Opening?

My pee hole is red and it has a small red bump on the bottom end of the hole. I am uncircumcised and when I pull my skin back my whole head and the skin that s pulled back is red, up to half of my penis. I am concerned, can this be a hygiene problem or an STD.??

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

I need to see if there are tiny blisters among the rash. From your personal history, it could be a genital herpes outbreak. Yeast infection is also to consider.

For the moment, I advise to:
- Wash with warm water and baby sensitive shampoo (any brand)
- Rinse well
- Rinse with chamomile tea
- Dry well
- Apply clotrimazole cream on the outside and inner part of the urethra.

If no improvement, and if confirmed acyclovir cream should be applied locally.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Iven Romic Rommstein, General Surgeon
