For the Past 3 years I have had circles on the top of my inner thighs/pelvis area the skin inside of the circles is a lite red color doesn t hurt but is now the size of a quarter on one size and the size of a half dollar on the other the skin feels softer than my other skin and seems a little more dry. These spots are right where my underwear sits but I m 31 years old and never had this problem until 3 yrs ago

General & Family Physician 's  Response

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to fungal infection - Tinea corporis. If you send a picture of the rash then it will be more helpful in identifying. For such fungal infection using anti fungal ointments like miconazole or terbinafine will be helpful. Miconazole is available as over the counter in brands like Daktarin and Terbinafine in brands like Lamisil. Use loose and cotton underwear. Avoid under wear while sleeping.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
