What Causes Red Rashes And Blisters On The Back, Neck And Elbow?
Hi, I have had red rashes with small blisters with blood. They last for several weeks. I have had a rash on my back, on my entire neck, and in the joint above my elbow. It started about a year ago on my neck. I have changed all scented items thinking it was that but it isn t. Any ideas of what it could be. Thank you
Allergy is the most common cause of such generalised rashes.Any change of place, new soap use,any new medication use should be ruled out.Inorder to rule out any autoimmune disease, complete blood count,ANA .
Rashes can be seen in many of the diseases we treat including scleroderma, vasculitis, lupus and dermatomyositis. Many physicians and patients are aware of the classic malar (over cheeks and nose) rash seen in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE or lupus) that can be triggered by exposure to sunlight.
Hope that was helpful.Let me know if i can assist you further.
