What Causes Red Itchy Eyes?

Hi, over the last couple of days I have notice my right eye and eye lid a little itchy. Of course like most people I would rub it. As of Sunday, my eye is now red, and is sore when I blink and also has a burning sensation in it, and the corner of the eye is irrated

Red itchy eyes is usually caused by allergic condition of the eyes. This requires treatment by the use of anti-allergic eye drops like olopatadine eye drops.
Oral anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic drugs are required in severe cases.
