What Causes Red Discolouration On The Foot After An Accident?

I had a heavy metal stapler dropped by accident on the top of my foot under my toes. Two days later had a bright red color in the shape of a stapler ---could this have been nothing more than a simple discoloration? It is 3 days later & my foot looks normal---I was told I had a bone contusion and wear a boot for 2 weeks with a simple x ray. I feel I was misdiagnosed?

hi there.
1. yes , it may be simple contusion.

2.nothing need to worry, it will settle down.

3. if any pain or swelling during fine movements, then go for MRI scanning which can detect hair line fractures as well, where routine x ray may not identify such lesions.

4. have ice com pressings along with vit C rich diet.

this will help you.
