What Causes Red Blotches On The Feet?

I saw a Dermatologist today because I have a rash that looks like blotches of tiny red dots on my feet....mainly my right foot. It doesn t itch but is getting worse. He said that it isn t serious, but there is really no medication to cure it except high doses of vitamin C. He called it two words that start with a P but I can t find my paper that he wrote that on. I just looked at some rashes that mentioned a type of blood cancer. Should I be concerned that I may have that or would he have recognized that? He s a very good Dermatologist in the Hattiesburg Dermatologist Clinic

Hello,

As per your case history, you are having a purpuric rash. My treatment advice is -
1. Avoid standing for long periods of time and keep pillows below legs while sleeping.
2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
3. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for 3 months.

If the problem persists then consult a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
