What Causes Red Blotches In The Face, Neck, Chest Area And Legs?

For the past two days after I wake up and start moving around, I get these red blotches all over my face, neck chest area and legs. its like I m having an allergic reaction to something but I haven t eaten or taken anything. They stay there and after I settle down they go away. They itch and kind of a burning sensation. then after a few minutes or 30 minutes or so they go away. Then about two hours or so they come back and then go away again.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If a similar patient comes to my opd I would suggest to apply calamine lotion on the spots and take Cetirizine tablet twice daily for 3 days. If it's still persisting please meet a dermatologist for further checkups.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Jilu Joseph, General & Family Physician
