What Causes Recurring Painful Sensation Around The Inner Thigh?

I have a painful sensation like touching a nerve in my right leg, just above the knee and slightly toward the inner thigh. The sensation is very painful and feels almost like an electric shock. Onset about three days ago and getting progressively worse.

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have recurring painful sensation around the inner thigh. Well there can be any reason for the symptoms you mention in query like muscular pain, soreness due to friction, any kind of infection due to sweat, inguinal hernia, kidney stone and clogging of skin pores. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult general practitioner for proper diagnosis . Doctor will examine physically and order few tests like X-ray , blood test and skin tests . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant , anti inflammatory or antibiotics. Doctor may also refer you to specialist like orthopedic surgeon. For now apply ice pack on affected area, keep your legs elevated while laying down and perform stretching exercises.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
