What Causes Recurring Headaches And Migraines Despite Taking Tylenol?

I have lots of headakes and migrains wich also travel down to the middle of my neck at he back, I have a bump there on my neck ever since I hit my head when I past out in hight school 16 years ago and was tol it was nothing by my doctor then it was nerves that had all gathered there by my chiropractor but anyway back then I was having headackes and migrains all the time and just stopped taking advils and Tylenol by fear it would damage my liver and all the other stuff. I had eye surgery in august of last year and was told i can not take asperine or any type of blood thinners for it could damage my eye again.but now for the past month I have had trouble sleeping because of headackes and I usualy wake up with a migraine. today I have now had a migraine since I woke up at 8:00 am I took 2 Tylenol Ultra and the migraine is still there. my migrains seem to go away when I put my head on something warm say my bf s chest i don t know why but think its odd . what is your thought on this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

CT or MRI should be done in case you have not taken any investigations following head injury. Temporal arteritis or other vascular abnormalities can cause severe headache which should be ruled out. Kindly check your blood sugar and blood pressure levels. Any eye diseases such as glaucoma can cause headache.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
