What Causes Recurring Fever And Screaming In Toddler?

Baby 18 mths, reoccurring fevers, every cpl of hours suddenly begins screaming out of character, screaming and crying last 15-20 mins then relief after belching multiple times. Pls help. Stomach virus? Gas? Seems a little of both. I have kids and NVR exp anything quite like this
