What Causes Recurring Eye Floaters And Blurred Vision After Retinal Detachment?

In July 2013, I had a horseshoe retinal tear in my right eye, lower (my) right side. It was treated with laser. In April, that eye suddenly got a lot of floaters, and there was bleeding so that my right eye was completely blurred. Floaters were red. The retinal specialist who repaired the tear followed me for 6 weeks after the April event, and assured me there was not another tear anywhere; the original scar was intact, and most likely the bleed was caused by the blood vessels still feeding the site of the original tear. Everything cleared by and I regained my visions, blurs went away. Yesterday the same thing happened again as in April, same eye, same blurriness, same kind of red floaters. My doctor is sure its the same cause as before since he saw me last 2 weeks ago. What s going on?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Thanks for consulting. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.

there is a possibility the blood vessel is bleeding again. the reason cannot be told precisely for sure but may be due to pressure effect like sudden movement of the eye like in sneezing or falling down and hitting or a blow to an eye. or some times due to low platelet or clotting factor. kindly consult you opthalmologist for a complete eye check upp evaluation and blood test to rule out other causes.

Hope it helps. If you need further, detailed and quick assistance related to any health issues in future, feel free to 'ask me a question' directly from my profile.

Have a wonderful time ahead.
