Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Doing a swab test will be helpful to rule out infection and to know what type of infection. In such case I would suggest vaginal suppositories containing combination of metronidazole or clindamycin plus clotrimazole. Lotion your doctor gave can be intimate wash. This is good to normalize vaginal ph and bacterial flora and to resist infection.
Thanks.
