What Causes Recurrent Fluttering Sensation In Left Side Of Chest?

Hi,I have been experiencing flutters in my lower left chest area, for the past 2 weeks. I am 47 year old female with no other medical problems. The flutters last from 5 to 15 seconds and occur up to 10 times per day. They can occur when sitting or standing and especially happen after sneezing or standing up from sitting. There is no pain. Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have recurrent fluttering sensation in left side of chest . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like caffeine , stress, anxiety,hormonal changes , low blood sugar anemia or hyperthyroidism . Sometimes cardiac conditions like angina can also give such symptoms . I would suggest you to consult general practitioner for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test , take history and check vitals . Doctor may refer you to endocrinologist for hormonal changes or hyperthyroidism or to cardiologist for any cardiac condition like angina . For now drink plenty of water , stop taking any supplement if your are taking , tsay cal and try to reduce stress .
