General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Recurrent cold and flu can be due to either allergy or sinus problem which has not been treated. Allergy can be due to family history, sensitivity to food, dust, pollution, fur, wool, smoke or some food, medication, chemical, latex, etc. Allergy can be tested by blood test, patch test or skin prick test. Take antibiotics (Bactrim or Augmentin), antihistamines and decongestants for relief.

Visit an ENT specialist and get physically examined for any developing sinus problem. Get X-Ray (PNS) done and evaluated. Get treated at the earliest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K,
