What Causes Rectal Bleeding After Taking Enema For Constipation?
Doctor.I have just come back from hospital. I was admitted for loss of sodium. It went down to 111. I was having constipation so doctor advised enema to be given before release. Now for the past 2 days after coming back from hospital I am bleeding from the rectum. Please advice

Sometimes an enema can irritate some internal hemorrhoids. If it is heavy bleeding then you need to see a doctor. If it is a small amount or just some bleeding when you wipe then stay well hydrated and see if it resolves. If it does not resolve in a week then see your doctor
