What Causes Rashes On Face Of An Infant After Giving Ragi Porridge?

I started giving Ragi floor to my baby who is 6 months old now. I gave for two days. She has started getting rashes on her cheeks and face. No rashes on any other body part. I stopped giving Ragi to her after that day. She is fine now. Are the rashes because of Ragi floor.?? Does ragi have any side effects?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi there. In my expert opinion your baby may be allergic to some constituent of the floor. So stop that floor giving to the baby. Try some alternative. You may get local help from your child physician regarding the alternative and also if that rash was really an allergic reaction. In my views (if that was an allergic reaction) that was a milder one. There was no swelling in jnternal throat which is life threatening emergency. Keep your baby away from the food which caused it all.
Hope it Helped you. Stay blessed !!!
Regards
