Hi! I am a type2 diabetic and have bee using lantus solostar pen 25 units nightly for about a month. I also take 1000mg of metformin and glipizide 20 mg daily. I ve noticed a rash around my neck, stomach and back area. Really all over, and not resting well at night. Is this normal? Or am I overacting? hi,
thank you for putting up your query on HCM.
as per your history, you may have rash due to insulin injections.
-- these rashes may occur on the injection sites due to repeated injections.
-- also, rashes may occur over whole body due to allergy to the component of insulin.
-- change your injection sites frequently.
-- I would advise you to take levocetrizine od and apply calamine lotion twice a day.
-- consult with your physician regarding the Same concern.
-- also, restlessness at night may be a sign of hypoglycemia. consult your physician and get your blood sugar levels checked.
wishing you good health.
thank you
