I just took chlorthalidine 25mg to see if that would help the overall blood pressure which was 147/82 pulse 98 at 2:00 and now 147/81 pulse 113. Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Tachycardia usually responds to combination of propranolol(beta blocker) and verapamil(Non-dihydropyridine CCB).Go for serum Free T3,Free T4 & TSH to exclude hyperthyroidism and HB% to exclude anemia as initial investigation for persistent tachycardia.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
