What Causes Rapid Heart Rate Along With Elevated Blood Pressure Levels?

Symptoms started a few days ago. I have been experiencing rapid heart rate during the night (two of past 6 nights) and my blood pressure has been elevated at times and at other times during the day it is normal. Prior heart attack in 2012. On metoprolol, aspirin, Lisinopril, atorvastatin, levothyroxine, and Detrol LA.

You need a cardiac workup with and EKG, echocardiogram and a 24 hour Holter EKG monitor since this may be a cardiac arrhythmia problem like supraventricular tachycardia or atrial fibrillation/flutter
