What Causes Raised Bumps All Over The Body?

Hi, my son recently had shrimp for dinner and 4 hours later had a soft bowel movement and vomited shortly after. This was accompanied with cramping. The next morning he woke with a rash all over his body. Raised bumps but they do turn white when touched. It has been 3 days and the rash is not getting better. Should I be concerned? We are treating with oatmeal bath, anti itch lotion, and Benedryl spray. No antihistamine because we have allery testing next week.

Hello there,
Based on your description your son most probably has a food poisoning related episode. The prolonged duration of the rash does warrant a reconsideration about allergy testing next week. Talk to your consultant about rescheduling it as anyway with a persistent rash you will not get accurate testing results. Instead the need of the hour is Giving him plenty of fluids and benedryl or Tab levocet(once a day). Keep an eye out if he develops any swelling around his mouth or throat and has any breathing difficulties. If he does take him to an emergency room.

Hope this helps,
Please feel free to get back to me with any further questions,
