Thank you for the question and I am happy to help

Any woman over the age of 40 who is having abnormal bleeding needs sampling from inside of the uterus. The swelling in her leg is almost certainly not related to the endometrial biopsy. The spots seen on ultrasound might represent uterine polyps (which are very common) or precancerous changes in the uterus. This would also be very easy to sort out with a procedure called a hysteroscopy. Given that she is still having abnormal bleeding, she needs to be further evaluated. Consider that if she has a uterine cancer, this is the most curable of the GYN cancers and it is better sort this out sooner than later.

I hope that this helps and good luck!
