What Causes Prickling Sensation All Over Body?
I have a prickling sensation on my body since July . Sometimes it feels like a hair blowing across your face and sometimes it is a sharp prickle. I just got out of the shower and put lotion recommended by my dermatologist and saw these black dots appear. My daughter has the same symptoms. She got them before I did when her family moved into a townhouse. One of my doctors said it might be neuropathy and another said dry skin. Sometimes it is OK and sometimes it is awful. I notice it appears to be worse when I wear long sleeves. These shirts are the same ones I have worn many times before. Help please.

Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like allergic reaction, contact dermatitis, deficiency of vitamin B 12 or anemia. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order skin patch test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe iron supplement , vitamin B or may refer you to endocrinologist for diabetes like problem or orthopedic surgeon for problem like multiple sclerosis . For now drink plenty of water stay calm , keep yourself relax , do meditation and yoga and eat healthy . Sometimes the symptoms also occur due to allergic reaction side effects of certain medicine .
