What Causes Pressure Sensation On The Neck And Hot Flashes?

during the day i get this pressure in my neck where my thyroid is. along with that it causes this sort of weird pressure in my head with pains in my head and doesnt have a particular side...some feel like sinus pains and are sometimes quick...when this happens my bp is high 150s/90s ..i am 52 and have hot flashes..my last period was 37 days ago so im wondering if its hormonal..in the morning i feel perfectly fine and my bp is fine..also have had my thyroid checked a couple of years ago and came out normal

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have headache and stiffness in neck . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like cervical spondylosis , medication reaction or side-effect , thalassemia , high blood pressure and anemia, chronic disease . I would suggest you to consult general practitioner for proper examination . Doctor will take history , order blood tests and check vitals specially blood pressure . Doctor may prescribe sedatives , analegesic and iron supplements . Doctor may also refer you to orthopedic surgeon for cervical spondolysis . For now take proper rest , have proper diet and apply warm compresses to neck .
