Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I noticed some pain near the heart area when leaning against something or to the touch. There is no pain unless pressure is put in that area. When i press the area, it feels hard. I have a mild ischemic I take Coreg for daily.
Is it something i should address right a way?
Hi, Cardiac ischaemic pains are less likely to aggravate with direct pressure or change in position. You should always take chest pain or discomfort seriously when it increases as you walk or do physical works, and get relieved with rest, these are most likely to be ischaemic. Cardiac ischaemic pains are sometimes also associated with sweating. The pain you are going through is less likely to be cardiac ischaemic pain, but it must be ruled out. Kindly attend your primary physician.
