What Causes Pressure And Soreness On One Side Of The Face?

Hi It's been more than three weeks and my symptoms are only on one side of my face. My left eye feels puffy and has a funny pressure. Other symptoms are pressure in the cheek to the side of the left nose. My upper teeth also are achy. I was told its sinusitis. Is it normal to have no discharge what so ever? It's it also normal that the symptoms are intermittent and very variable on a daily basis?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the symptoms of pressure and puffiness of eye along with pressure on nose and face and achy teeth seems to be most probably due to sinus infection and although there is no discharge there can be inflamed sinus linings..

I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like PNS view x ray or MRI scan can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

You can be advised a course of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, decongestants like Pseudoephadrine, do saline nasal irrigation, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
You can also be advised decongestant nasal sprays containing Xylometazoline or Oxymetazoline..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
Do warm compresses around nostrils..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
