What Causes Persistent Pain In Back Along With Headache And Nausea?

I have been informed by a doctor that I have Shingles. I have gotten Emu oil and rubbed that on the rash, which has relieved it. I was given Metoclopramide 10mg to ease the nausea, but this has not worked. I have tired ginger, but to no avail either. I have an aching back and legs and a headache and the nausea persists. What else can I do please? Regards and thanks - Jennifer - YYYY@YYYY

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, the pain and nausea is secondary to shingles and it will persist till the rash subsides completely. You should continue taking metoclopramide and try taking Gaviscon also. Avoid oily diet and keep yourself pain free.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
