What Causes Persistent Hot Flashes?

i HAVE BEEN SUFFERING FROM HOT FLUSHES FOR MANY YEARS. I TOOK HRT TABLETS FOR OVER TWENTY YEARS. MY DOCTOR WILL NO LONGER PRESCIBE THEM. I HAVE TRIED MANY HERBAL TABLETS BUT NONE OF THEM WORK. I HAVE TRIED DIXARIT WHICH DID NOT WORK. TODAY I HAVE BEEN PRESCIBED STERALINE AN ANTI DEPRESION DRUG WHICH I AM NOT HAPPY TO TAKE. COULD YOU PLEASE ADVISE. Hello,

Withdrawal from hormones causes them. The HRT prevented that but there is a risk of cancer (preventable by taking combination hormones). There is also the risk of blood clots which is still a risk with other hormones. The anti-depressants are not as effective as other placebos.
