What Causes Persistent Cough And Blisters Inside Mouth In A Diabetic Person?
I have diebetice I have had a bad cough for 5 months had scan no cancer nexium increased was put on lasix am taking janumet,Crestor karvea cough ceased for 4 days. Went to NZ for 5 days cough returned as bad as before have had shingles last month minor dose I now have blisters in the mouth mild soar throat and ear
As per your query ulcers in mouth along with severe cough is due to decreased immunity of body due to diabetes. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist because persistent cough and upper respiratory track infection sometimes spread to other part like middle ear though eustachian tube and to sinus making condition further complicated . Doctor may order certain tests like throat swab test , virus culture test and blood test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( penicillin or amoxicillin )course for at least 10 days along with decongestants and anti inflammatory drug . For now apply orabase gel to blisters and start taking vitamin B complex supplement .
Hope your concern has been resolved. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry
