You should have mentioned your age, sex ,
smoking if any and any other illness you have. As there are several possibilities in your case.
wheezing suggests
asthma, which is a very common in smokers and in air polluted area. In that case line of treatment is correct, you continue for some time, your condition will improve. But difficult breathing on lying down suggests something more serious. In
heart disease patients, this is the first symptom. So if you are hypertensive, beyond 50 years of age, smoker, taking alcohol for long,
obese this is a possibility. In fact I will suspect this in your case.
You need to visit a multi speciality centre as you have to under go examination, tests to come to a right diagnosis. You might have to visit cardiologist, lung specialist.
