What Causes Pelvic Discomfort Post Hysterectomy?

I had a hysterectomy 9 months ago along with an appendectomy. My OB/GYN was removing a large amount of scar tissue, my bladder and right kidney were fused together, my left kidney had been pushed over toward my left side, my appendix was not where it should have been (lower pelvic area) and I also had endometriosis. I now have pelvic pain/discomfort, intimacy is horrible and I have been spotting light pink blood over the past few days.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
According to your description you underwent a difficult hystrectomy with appendicectomy. Though a large amount of scar tissue was removed during surgery there is possibility of further development of adhesions due to previous surgery and also possible residual endometriotic tissue.
May be that is responsible for your pelvic discomfort and dyspareunia.
Some amount of spotting can be seen during early weeks of post hysterectomy but pink discharge 9 months after hysterectomy should be a concern. The possible causes and development of granulation tissue at the vault, vaginal infection or dry yeast and also we have to rule out rare possible causes like vault carcinoma. So, please consult your gynecologist once get examined and if needed go for ultrasound to find out the possible cause of your problem and take treatment accordingly.
Simple vaginal infection can be treated with antibiotics, oestrogen cream will help in treating the dryness and Pap smear from the vault helps in ruling out malignancy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
