General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
You may be experiencing a type of headache called a tension headache. Tension headaches are dull, aching pain that can affect the entire head, including the scalp. They can be caused by stress, poor posture, and muscle tension in the head and neck. Other possible causes of tenderness on the scalp could be a scalp infection, infestation, or an allergic reaction. I suggest seeing a medical professional for a proper diagnosis and treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
