What Causes Palpitations And Nausea While On Prednisone?
I had a steroid shot and given prednisone for a sinus infection along with antibiotics. My heart is racing and have been nauseated for several days with nervous feeling in my stomach. Yesterday I started with diarrhea. Black, tarry stool. Weak and unstable on my feet. Very weak.

Hello,
Prednisolone may cause side effects in few patients. It may cause peptic ulcer disease lead to black vomitus. I think you may allergic to this injection. Effects of this drug may fade off in 6-48 hours.
Use tablet pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. If symptoms not improved please consult your physician/gastroenterologist they will do upper GI endoscopy and treat you accordingly.
