What Causes Painful Swelling And Tightness After A Total Knee Replacement Surgery?

Hi, I had a total knee replacement in 2010, left. Never felt good always swollen and tight not grossly so just felt on lat side that knee was numb. Broke my patella in jan of this year , had physio and some release of tightness, ligament now moves but the knee and patella is never pain free. And I mean pain. Can t straighten sometimes and cannot sit for more than half hour. Sleep only 2 hours at a time. Can the horizontal patellar fracture still be causing this?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, such symptoms are very likely in case of knee replacement it will take some time to come around till then all the pain and other symptoms can be managed analgesic medicines and physiotherapy if the symptoms are severe then you need to have word with surgeon, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
