What Causes Painful Lumps On Vagina After Having Unprotected Sex?

Hello, I recently had unpoetectex sex with someone. About 3 days later, I started getting really sore downstairs (mainly my clitours glans) a few days after that, I noticed a small lump starting to form on my vagina. I didn t think much of it, until it started looking like a ulcer. Now, iv got about 3 lumps, like ulcers. They are really painful to touch. I have spoken to my sexual parter, and he said he was all clear? I feel fine other then this problem. Please help! It s starting to worry me.

Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic

I will like to keep a possibility of Herpes Genitalis.
Painful, sore lesions which have broken down to form Ulcers and that too just 3 days after an unprotected sexual encounter brings in the possibility of herpes genitalis. The incubation period of herpes varies from 2-5 days.
I will suggest that you visit a sexual health specialist for a confirmatory diagnosis and appropriate testing for STI's at appropriate intervals including Herpes, Syphilis, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, HIV etc.
Genital herpes is sufficiently characteristic to be diagnostic on physical examination.
Obviously you can't rely totally on what your sexual partner has told you unless you are the only sexual partner that he has ever had.
Testing for herpes can be done with a blood test and it can be earliest at 2 weeks with an ELISA test.

Regards
