What Causes Painful Defecation And Mucus In Stools?

22 year old male. For the past 6-7 months I ve been dealing with burning when having a BM , passing gas and while urinating. I went to the Dr. She told me I had a anal fissure causing the burning and my urine test showed that I have been drinking way too much soda/tea. A couple months later and the burning while urinating is still happening. Not as bad but still burns. The suppositories she gave me for the fissure worked for awhile but I had a hard BM and the anus burning has somewhat came back as well but this time with white and orange mucus. I took a cleanse (the cleanser) and it had me going to the bathroom 5-6 times a day but pure mucus. Thick mucus. What could be causing this? It s made me very depressed and worried. (I ve also been experiencing these small black and red shiny confetti type looking things in my stool. Is this blood? I ve gotten some of these out and put them in water but they do not dissolve.)

Hello
I appreciate your concern
Looking at your detailed history you might be having fissure or fistula in anus and chronic UTI

Your doubt is genuine Black and red particles in stool could be occult blood
In my opinion you should consult your doctor for per rectal examination and a battery of investigations like blood for hemoglobin, CBC liver function test, stool test and urine culture and sensitivity test

You may require a course of antibiotics under supervision of your doctor
Meanwhile please follow these guidelines
Have plenty of dietary fibers fresh fruits and vegetables
Have lots of fluids like fruit juices and ORS solutions
Avoid smoking and alcohol
sitz bath will definitely help you
Avoid constipation by taking stool softening agent like liquid paraffin

Hope this answers your question
let me know if you have nay doubts, I will gladly answer you
Best wishes
