What Causes Painful Blisters At The Bottom Of The Feet?
Over the last two days on the bottom of my left foot; developed a very painful blister; which is now half of the size of a dime. The fluid in the blister appears to be clear. My foot is swollen . Can I treat this from home. I was born in 1966. Could this be a diabetic blister?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
This blister could most probably due to friction trauma. If you have diabetes then there is chance that the blister may get infected.Do not try to puncture the blister at home as it may further infect the blister.Seek medical attention and get the fluid removed from blister and get it bandaged to prevent infection.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
