Hi,
Joint pain can occur as a result of certain viral infections, age related
osteoarthritis, generalised arthritis such as
rheumatoid arthritis. Any history of fever, rashes, recent history of travel should be ruled out. These symptoms indicate the presence of viral infections which can present with fever and joint pain. Even recent history of fever can later present with joint pain. This is referred to as post viral arthralgia.
I would suggest you to take complete blood counts,
erythrocyte sedimentation rate, serum uric acid ,RA factor and
Serum creatinine, vitamin-D to identify the cause of arthritis. Chondro-protective agents like
glucosamine and vitamin-D can be taken daily to improve bone health.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
