What Causes Pain, Swelling And Hardness In The Knee?
82 year old male, on warafin, atenol and atacan, has hardness on the leg below the knee towards the outside of the leg (right side outside upper calf). Has pain, swelling and hardness. Started with the knee and now progressed to this hardness like lump on lower right side of leg below knee. No other symptoms

Most probably it will be due to joint effusion secondary to arthritis.
Consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan.
