Hi! I had gone through your question and I understood your concern.
If I were you treating doctor for the symptoms that you described I would come out with some of the possible diagnosis :( In the diagnosis is important to know what kind of pain is it : burning , Sharp pain ,and how long it last)
1) ulcer dissease - it's a burning pain or a like discomfort that may be improved by food if it is a
duodenal ulcer and worsened if a gastric ulcer .And the pain is worse at night , and its dissapear when you sitting forward . may be a cute pain or
chronic pain. Main cause of ulcer is
Helicobacter pylori .We treat the infection with antibiotic and the symptoms with PIP :esomeprazol or pantoprazol for some weeks
2)
Acid reflux - it's a burning pain that start from uper stomach and go through the esophagus , a lot of spit worsen when you like down after you have eaten it from the spicey and fatty food .coughing during the night . To do the diagnosis we prescribe PIP ( also for treatement ) like
esomeprazole 20 mg twice a day or Ranitidine ( antihistamin H2 blockers ) of the symptoms dissapear it may be acid reflux .
3) and more unlikely
Pancreatitis it's acute pain wich radiates to the back, with vomiting and other symptoms like :jaundice ,
tachycardia, tenderness of abdomen. ,We do some examinations : blood test to look for elevated levels of pancreatic enzymes , stool tests , CT.
I would suggest To ask for an appointment with your local doctor To confirm the diagnosis and to get the treatment
.
Meanwhile you are waiting for the appointment follow these advice
Try to stay in the position you have less pain
