General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Likely tonsillitis or epiglottis congestion. Primary relieving factors

- gargles with salted lukewarm water added peppermint oil
- avoid aerated drinks, chilled beverages, spices
- analgesic as Tylenol or ibuprofen with meals
- prefer more liquids and soft easily chewable food stuffs.

Consult your doc by appointment rather than heading to ER.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Purva Patel, General & Family Physician
