What Causes Pain In The Neck Post Treatment For Pharyngitis?

hi ! after a treatment (antibiotics) of an pharyngitis infection, i started having this pain on the area bellow my shine and then the pain spread to my thyroid cartilage over which i can feel a little mass, having difficulties to move my head up and feeling external pain when swallowing.is that related to the previous infection or is it something else ?

Neck pain in your case, could have possibly resulted from extension of infection from pharynx.
It's advisable to get an MRI neck to rule out any retropharyngeal abscess.
