What Causes Pain In The Lower Back And Excessive Hunger Before Periods?

A week prior to my period which was due on 26th of this month I noticed changes in my body as I had cramps, sharp lower back pain and feeling hungry almost all the time. My period didn t show up as expected but on the 27th, I noticed a stretchy discharge like creamy mucus. On the 28th my period started and it was very scanty which lasted just for two days and just stains on the 3rd date. I am never late and my periods lasts for 5 days with few stains on the 6th day. I need advise as I am worried since the back pain is still persistent. I am actually trying to conceive and had sex around and my ovulation day. Pls what should I do

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on the description, it appears that you could have conceived and it would be better for you to confirm about it by doing the following:
1. Blood beta hCG levels.
2. Trans-vaginal ultrasound scan (TVS).
Kindly consult Gynecologist with the report for clinical evaluation and further management.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
